M.J. is an attorney in private practice and is a Special Asst. Attorney General.  A former Asst. United States Attorney, she specializes in housing, disability, and employment law. 

She also serves on the board of directors of Gloucester Stage Company and is a trustee of the Gloucester Affordable Housing Trust.  Several of her one-act plays have been produced at Gloucester Stage.
