Reading Series.

Sometimes we ask ourselves, How many people have read at the GWC? From Vincent Ferrini’s earliest days in the studio that would become the Writers Center to today, hundreds—perhaps thousands—of voices have been heard here at 126 East Main Street.

The Gloucester Writers Center is a place where compelling emerging and established voices from Cape Ann, the region, and the world can be heard all year long. We also host readings at venues across the city and region, including Windhover Center for the Performing Arts, the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck, the North Shore Arts Association, and elsewhere.

Readings have been a core part of our offerings since our founding, and we take seriously our role as a platform for many perspectives, genres, and ideas to flourish and find audience. Interested in reading at the GWC? Get in touch.
