Join us for a reading featuring Mark Pawlak and Mary Bonina, two longtime GWC friends and remarkable writers from Cambridge, MA. Followed by a reception. All are welcome!

Parking available on Chapel Street, nearby, and just down the road at the North Shore Arts Association.

Mark Pawlak is the author of nine poetry collections and the editor of six anthologies.  His most recent book is the memoir My Deniversity: Knowing Denise Levertov (MadHat Press, 2021).  His poems appeared widely in anthologies such as The Best American Poetry, Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust, and in the literary magazines New American Writing, Arrowsmith, andMother Jones, among many others. His work has been translated into German, Japanese, Polish, and Spanish, and has been performed at Teatr Polski in Warsaw. He lives in Cambridge. 

Mary Bonina has published two poetry collections, Living Proof and Clear Eye Tea, and the memoir My Father’s Eyes. She is presently shopping her novel My Way Home, completed during the pandemic. A fellow-in-residence many times at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and awarded a residency at the Center’s retreat in Auvillar, France, she was winner of the URBANARTS Boston Contemporary Authors Award for her poem “Drift,” a permanent public art installation on the street corner outside Green St MBTA Station, Jamaica Plain.
